How To

GUIID (Globally Unique Item Identifier) is an NFC (Near Field Communication) chip project that allows users to store information about an item and install or retrieve that information using an NFC-enabled device, such as a mobile phone.

It’s similar to attaching an identification card to a bag or piece of luggage, but the identifier remains hidden and eliminates the need for a bulky plastic dongle to establish ownership or provide identification.

The idea is to conceal the chip without anyone knowing about it, or embed it inside the item in a way that makes it difficult to tamper with or remove.

We originally created this application for our own use, but we decided to share it with everyone in the hope that others might find it useful as well.
